Full itinerary:

Join our small group tour at the designated Southbank or Dinmore meeting point ready for a day of flowers, festivals and fun at the much-celebrated Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

On our 90-minute drive from Brisbane, we’ll pass through the rich farmlands of the Lockyer Valley Region, a major food bowl for South East Queensland. Be prepared for vibrant colours and gorgeous floral displays as we arrive in the garden city of Toowoomba where talented local gardeners spend months in the planning for these perfectly timed blooms celebrating the annual spring festival.

Wander rows of colourful garden beds in the Queens Park Botanic Gardens set against a lush backdrop of extensive lawns and towering trees.

Throughout the day, we’ll visit a selection of exquisite private gardens (4 or more), lovingly-tended by passionate green-thumbs who are on hand to share some trade secrets!

The Toowoomba foodie scene is well known and our relaxed lunch venue will be sure to satisfy the tastebuds. With our energy levels topped up after lunch, it’s time for the show-stopping floral displays of Laurel Bank Park. This beautiful 4.5-hectare parkland features impressively manicured themed gardens, avenues of cherry blossoms and fragrant blooms.

To finish off the day we’ll take a stately drive along an avenue of mature hoop pine leads to the heritage-listed Picnic Point Parklands with breathtaking, panoramic views to Table Top Mountain and the Lockyer Valley. Time for last photos and perhaps a tasting of Toowoomba’s iconic violet ice-cream before our return drive back to Brisbane.
